The newest Shofner
We added a member over the weekend.
Shelby loves her. And she mostly ignores Shelby, but sometimes chases her or places with her tail. Sometimes they snuggle up together. She makes me happy. And she doesn't have a name yet (though I'm leaning towards Sadie or Thor) so I'm taking suggestions. We hope she'll grow up and eat lots of mice. (Did I mention we have a bit of a mouse problem?) And she likes me a lot. This morning when I was putting on makeup she meowed and complained that I wasn't paying attention to her. Then she climbed up my leg. Which was painful. But endearing.

O! I love her very much. How old is she? You should name her Tulip. Or Bobcat. Or Eunice. Or Earl. Or Goat. Or Tank. Or ...ooh! Birdie! Actually, any animal name that's not Cat would be funny. Like Bear or Dog or Rufus or Wallaby or ... I dunno. Birdie is my favorite. And Tank. And the Hulk. ...I'll think on this more.
If i had a cat right now i would name it Xavier or Xena.
that's just me...
looks like fun--where did you get her?
She's so cute! You're so lucky! I've been wanting a cat so bad!
She's awesome!
I like your name choices. We once found a cute orange tabby kitten in the barn at Laurel Lake and named him Thor. I think my friend Sophie still has him.
I'm with Ben. Animal names that don't go with that animal are funny. I'd always wanted to name a cat Puppy. But Birdie's funny too.
If you are ANYTHING like me and my family it won't matter what you name it because it will become KittyKitty. It just rolls off the tongue so easily and cats seem to have a radar for it. i do like for my cats to have an offical name though. Just in case you haven't named it yet I would encourage you to think outside the box...why does it have to be a one word name. You could name it like they do horses. Wouldn't it be great to have a cat named Splendor of the Rising Sun or Armful of Tiger Lilies. Maybe you could go for a Native American naming style - One Who Poos in a Box, Leg Crawler, or Snuggles with Dog. or maybe Claw-Daddy or E-I-E-I-O. or Altheo - that one makes me laugh because that's what my dad always calls Athena - he never can remember her name... why Altheo? of all variations why that one? does that sound like something you would name someone you care about? I'm getting off topic. I do love naming things - if I ever do have kids one day it will be so I can name them - and oh how they'll hate me for it. Once, again off topic so I think I'll go. I need to not write things at night after work - I think I end up "embarrassing" myself - which reminds me of something that happened to me tonight. I've just started carpooling with a girl from work. Today we took her car. I have to check out in the staffing department in the basement of the hospital so she went to get the car to meet me in from of ER. So it's dark outside and I bounce (I'm always excited when I get off) up the car and try to get in. It's locked and when I look in there is a girl I've never seen before staring, horrified, at me. I thought it was funny and kind of laughed it off but then I had to stand there waiting for my ride to show up. I think we're both glad she had her doors locked.
